A four-year-old boy has died in a horror drowning. 

Emergency services rushed to Lagoon Row in Officer, a suburb in Melbourne’s south-east, at about 5pm on Sunday night. 

The boy, from Swan Hill, was pulled from the water unresponsive. 

He sadly died at the scene despite the efforts of paramedics.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious. 

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
