Sandilands made the on-air revelation this morning on the Kyle and Jackie O show on KIIS FM.

He also shared that he would need to have his skull opened to have surgery on the aneurysm in his brain.

“The aneurysm’s been going so strong through me, it’s buckled the veins,” he said.

He said surgeons would have to drill a hole in his skull “the size of a drinking glass”, leaving him with significant scarring.

“I’d be Franken-Kyle forever,” he joked.

But, he said, his doctor told him any procedure would at this point send the risk of significant brain damage or death “right up”.

“He said, I have less problems leaving it and monitoring it and ‘if it gets bigger we do what we have to do’,” Sandilands said.

“But this thing will probably grow.”

He said the doctor had given him the weekend to think about it.

Sandilands went on to reveal that doctors had also found an aneurysm in his aorta, as well as a significant calcium build-up in his chest that could cause a heart attack.

He revealed his doctor had told him to limit his coffee intake to one or two a day – down from his claimed usual tally of 15 large lattes before noon.

Nonetheless, Sandilands said he was serene on departing.

“I felt completely fine. I was like, oh well, at least we know now,” he said.
