It bears repeating, in the context of Saturday night’s embarrassment, that success for the Knicks this season is dependent on whether they get to the conference finals.
Anything less is a failure.
It’s a high bar, but consolation prizes were exhausted after consecutive second-round eliminations and an offseason of heavy spending. Neither the opponent nor the injury report is an excuse.
