The Knicks continue their Cinderella run on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.
Despite knocking off the defending champion Celtics, it’s not getting any easier against the Pacers.
NBA oddsmakers are once again underestimating Indiana, pegging the Knicks as a solid -150 favorite (Caesars Sportsbook) in a series that should be closer to even odds.
The Pacers have played like one of the best teams in basketball for several months now.
After starting 10-15, Indiana went 40-17 to finish the regular season, which was the fourth-best record in the league over that stretch and a full four games better than the Knicks.
Their postseason run has arguably been even more impressive.
In the first round, the Pacers dispatched Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks in five games before doing the same to the Eastern Conference No. 1 seed Cavaliers one round later.
Indiana was a +375 underdog to upset Cleveland, and ended up doing so with ease.
If injuries and big minutes start mounting, the Pacers have the depth to handle it.
Betting on the NBA?
The Knicks — as we saw during their second-round loss to the Pacers last year — don’t have any leeway for one of their main players to go down.
Look for Indiana to at least make this a long series, if not win it outright.
