You know nothing, Kit Harington.
The “Game of Thrones” star, famous for playing Jon Snow in the hit HBO series, got absolutely “ripped” by his pals during a hilariously awkward fan encounter in London.
While out with his friends recently, Harington was stopped on the street by what he presumed to be an adoring fan.
“Sometimes someone comes up to you in the center of town, usually a tourist, and they’re like, ‘Could you take a photo?,’ and you’re like, ‘Yeah, sure!’” he explained in a behind-the-scenes video while promoting Zynga’s new video game, “Game of Thrones: Legends.”
“You go and you put your arm around them and they’re like, ‘No, no, no, of me and Big Ben,’” he continued, adding that he got “absolutely ripped by [his] mates” after the “excruciatingly embarrassing” moment.
Harington, 37, said the awkward exchange “happens quite often” and joked it’s actually the “opposite of a fan interaction.”
Overall though, he made sure to note in the video that fans of “Game of Thrones,” which ran from 2011-2019, are “always wonderful” and his interactions with them are “great.”
Harington’s partnership with the new game “Game of Thrones: Legends,” in which fans can create a build their own houses with the show’s iconic characters and battle friends, marks the first time the actor has returned to the series in any capacity since 2019.
“I love that the ‘Thrones’ world is still continuing five years after I wrapped my part of it,” he said, adding that the show’s spinoff, “House of The Dragon” and games like “Legends” are keeping the franchise going.
“Frankly, it’s really great to be associated with,” Harington said.
Harington, who shares two children with his wife and former “Game of Thrones” co-star, Rose Leslie, quipped that he enjoys playing games when he gets any moments of free time.
After the eighth and final season of the HBO show, Harington stepped away from acting to focus on his mental health.
“I think I took a sort of break after ‘Thrones’ where I said, ‘I don’t want to work for a year. I want to really kind of concentrate on myself,’” he said in 2021. “I’m really happy I did that.”
Harington and Leslie, 37, welcomed their first baby, a son, in 2021 and a baby girl in 2023.
In February, it was announced Harington would star in Jeremy O. Harris’ “Slave Play” in London’s West End from June 29 to Sept. 21.
