The sister of erratic Kennedy heir Jack Schlossberg has made it clear that the family are worried about him during a lunch in her adopted California hometown.
Rose Kennedy Schlossberg was asked if her younger sibling was okay as she lunched with her wife and sister-in-law at a tony spa.
‘Without uttering a word, she shook her head as if to say no and then just looked down at the phone in her lap, giving the signal she didn’t want to discuss the subject further,’ a source who witnessed the exchange told DailyMail.com.
Rose, 36, now lives in Ojai, California with her filmmaker-turned-restaurateur wife Rory McAuliffe, 33. They and Rory’s sister Meave, 38, treated themselves to a spa day at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa on Friday last week.
As the older daughter of Caroline Kennedy and her husband Ed Schlossberg, Rose – who now goes by ‘Ro’ – is one of only three grandchildren of late President John F. Kennedy.
As reserved as she may be for a Kennedy, Rose still indulged in a little luxury this week when she was seen visiting Ojai Valley Inn & Spa for lunch and beauty treatments ahead of Valentine’s Day.

The Ojai Valley Inn is a premier resort in the area, featuring a world-class golf course, fine dining, and a spa that consistently ranks among the best in the world.
But despite living in a $1.2million home just minutes away, Rose and Rory did not seem all that familiar with it.
The couple arrived together in a hotel golf cart before being greeted by a bubbly host who led them to the Spa Cafe where they met Meave and picked out their lunch and drinks.
According to a source who was visiting the spa that day, the group opted to eat al fresco in the cafe’s patio space where they also discussed spa treatment options for facials, the infrared sauna, and even a cold plunge.

She carried a cream-colored book bag with the initials ‘JK’ on it, perhaps an heirloom from her grandmother Jackie.
‘They ordered salads and talked about which spa treatments they were going to get before the conversation got political,’ the eyewitness told DailyMail.com.
‘Maeve said the Trump administration was “petty” for targeting and making “a big deal about” transgender athletes.

But it was when Rose was asked about her brother that things got awkward.
Jack, 32, was reported to have ignited ‘an embarrassing earthquake’ within the Kennedy family over his bizarre presence on social media where he has denounced cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr., 71, and last week, attacked conservative journalist Megyn Kelly.
He later deleted his accounts on X and Instagram after spats with Kelly and DailyMail.com columnist Maureen Callahan.
‘I’m sorry to everyone I hurt. I was wrong,’ he wrote in his final post last week. ‘I’m deleting all my social media. Forever. It’s been fun. Thanks anyways everyone.’

Despite hailing from one of the most-famous families, Rose has kept a semi-low profile in recent years – unlike her younger brother Jack Schlossberg, 32, (second from left) and her high-profile politician relatives

Rose was born in New York City on June 25, 1988, and was named after her great-grandmother, JFK’s mom, Rose Kennedy; and it was reportedly her grandma Jackie who picked the name. She is seen with her mom in 1996

Jack Schlossberg, 32, who is President John F. Kennedy’s only grandson, has raised eyebrows over his bizarre and controversial presence online
The celebrity website Deux Moi suggested that the reason he left was because his mother Caroline Kennedy was upset that he had attacked members of her cousin Maria Shriver’s family for not openly opposing RFK’s nomination as Donald Trump’s Health and Human Services Secretary.
‘Caroline doesn’t care what most people think but does care deeply about Maria Shriver,’ the site quoted an anonymous source as saying.
His cousin Kathleen ‘Kick’ Kennedy, 36, told the New York Post last week she hopes “he gets the help he needs”, while attorney Alan Dershowitz labeled him, ‘a disturbed, spoiled brat’.
Unlike many of her family members, Rose – who was named after her great-grandmother Rose Kennedy – has remained largely out of the spotlight for most of her adult life.
She was raised with her two younger siblings Tatiana, 34, and Jack, on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. She was just five years old when her beloved grandmother Jackie passed away from Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 1994 at age 64.
Rose attended the prestigious Brearley private school, where tuition is $60,000 a year and went on to get an English degree from Harvard.
While she later dabbled in politics, filmmaking, and fashion, she has settled into a relaxing life on the west coast with McAuliffe.
Rory and Meave own the popular farm-to-table restaurant, Rory’s Place, and the breakfast spot, Rory’s Other Place, on the main drag in Ojai.
In 2023, DailyMail.com reported that the restaurant had sustained significant damage after a fire broke out after Christmas due to a suspected faulty electrical wire.
A visibly distressed McAuliffe was seen lugging items out of the burnt out restaurant in two large blue bags at the time.
