Kelly Ripa called out her husband, Mark Consuelos, for not being very empathetic during the childbirth process.
The “Live with Kelly and Ryan” host, 52, shaded the “All My Children” star, 51, after influencer @notskinnybutnotfat re-posted a viral graphic asking, “What is one thing that your partner did, said or brought to the hospital that really helped you through your birth experience?”
Ripa responded in the comments section, recalling the moment Consuelos allegedly asked, “Do you mind if i eat?”
She also claimed her husband said, “’I’m going to the batting cages since you’re gonna be here a while.”
Ripa didn’t specify which one of their three children – Michael, 25, Lola, 21, or Joaquin, 19 – she was in labor with when Consuelos made the remarks. The actor has yet to respond.
The post quickly drew thousands of comments from fellow moms who shared a mix of sentimental and sarcastic stories.

“Right before I started pushing: ‘It’s okay if you poop, I s–t my pants when I was 23,’” one user wrote, with another joking, “As I’m getting wheeled into the operating room for a C section… ‘so you’re just going to give up.’”
A third mom wrote that while she was getting her epidural, her partner was hugging her and then said, “Omg my back hurts from bending over like that.”
Another added, “My husband tried to tell me how to push correctly.”
Luckily for Consuelos, Ripa was able to look past his less than comforting birthing comments, and they’ve been having a steamy love life since tying the knot in May 1996.
