Keke Palmer shares candid ‘mommying’ update: ‘I will never be the same again’

From acting to singing to co-hosting a talk show, Keke Palmer has done it all — but being a mom is her best job yet.

“Mommy’ing is coming along if you were looking for an update,” the Emmy winner captioned photos of herself walking her baby boy, Leodis, in a stroller via Instagram Monday.

“I have juggled quite a few careers but this is my greatest gig of all,” she continued.

Palmer, 29, expressed how excited she is to discover new things about herself as she learns to “balance it all” as a new mother.

“I will never be the same again, but if you thought I was a bad mama jamma before, you can’t imagine the greater purpose my son has given my life!” she wrote.

The “Nope” star noted that she is “loving” being able to “indulge” in shopping more than ever before.

“I have so many things bagged in my Amazon cart, haven’t quite pulled the place the order button, but it feels good just adding it to the cart. You know, fake shopping hahaha,” she joked.

Palmer also seemingly made a nod to lyrics from Drake’s 2018 song “Emotionless,” in which the rapper admitted to secretly fathering a son. The actress captioned a photo of her newborn, “I’m not hiding the world from my son, I’m hiding my son from the world.”

Palmer announced she was pregnant while hosting “Saturday Night Live” last December with her baby bump on full display.

“I want to set the record straight — I am [pregnant],” she told viewers during her monologue, adding how “beyond blessed” she was feeling. “I am so excited, guys. I’m gonna be a mom!”

The “Password” host and Jackson started dating in 2021, making their TikTok debut that November. While they initially kept their relationship private, she eventually realized it was too hard.

“[Keeping it a secret is] a lot more work than just living in my life and being in my life,” she told Bustle in March 2022, adding that Jackson made her “the happiest” she has ever been.

Prior to meeting her beau, Palmer didn’t hide the fact that she wanted to have children.

“I don’t want to have kids too later on because I definitely want to be able to get that snap back,” she told Rickey Smiley in an August 2019 interview. “But at the same time, I don’t really want to have a kid just yet.”

The “Bottoms Up” singer then acknowledged that the “clock [was] ticking.”

The following year, she revealed she had been diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome, a hormonal disorder that can sometimes cause infertility.

“My acne has been so bad that people in my field offered to pay for me to get it fixed,” she told her Instagram followers while discussing the effects of her PCOS. “I tried EVERYTHING. I did all that, I ate all the ‘right’ things, my blood tests were fine.

“It took ME taking a personal look into my family that has a history of diabetes and obesity to understand what was ACTUALLY happening with me,” she continued.

Palmer ultimately discovered that her pregnancy ended up curing her acne.

“There’s no more of the bumps,” the former Disney Channel star shared on Instagram in January. “I found the secret to clearing up my acne, and guess what it is? You need to get knocked up. Period. Point blank. Period.”

She then joked, “I’m about to be pregnant for the rest of my life.”
