Karol G is so over GQ Mexico after the mess they made of her feature cover even after she expressed her concerns.
Karol G Can’t Believe It
The singer was so bothered by her issue of GQ that she took to social media to slam the publication for editing her pictures beyond recognition according to her. “I don’t even know where to start this message… Today my GQ magazine cover was made public, a cover with an image that DOES NOT represent me,” she started her message.
She accompanied the warning message with a serious-looking photo of herself wearing a white robe and pink hair with platinum blonde highlights. “My face does not look like this, my body does not look like that and I feel very happy and comfortable with how I look naturally.”
Within the post, Karol G whose real name is Carolina Giraldo Navarro attached a photo of the magazine cover that does have an eerie look about it. She is happy for the opportunity the magazine has her but also would be remiss to not acknowledge that they completely ignored her wishes.
Karol G Asked To Not Be Edited
The “TQG” singer shared with her fans that a conversation was had and there was an understanding that she s very happy with her natural look and no retouching is needed. She slammed the publication for ignoring her wishes.
“Despite making clear my discontent with the number of editions you they did the photo, they didn’t do anything about it, as if to look good I needed all those changes.” Karol is focused on being a good role model, this move does not help that image.

“I understand the repercussions this can have, but beyond feeling it’s disrespectful to me, it’s to the women that we wake up every day looking to feel comfortable with ourselves despite society’s stereotypes.”
Karol’s message resonated with fellow celebs like singer Bebe Rexha who commented, “So beautiful.” Rapper The Game also encouraged Karol G, “who doesn’t look like you in anything my queen. you are naturally beautiful and whoever is responsible for that should be fired!!. ❤️.”
Karol G’s Fans Are Behind Her
In addition to the celebrity support, Karol G’s fans are making sure she knows they agree with her as well. “That’s right,” wrote one fan. “Your naturally beautiful!” chimed in another.
“I admire you and respect you hard! For being real and also for not being afraid to be it (which is not the same) 🙌👸🏼,” encouraged another.
The love Karol G received made the singer feel great! She left “likes” and heart emojis under some of the comments. The “Reina” was adored for her bravery, but the truth is, Karol G has always been an advocate for showing off a healthy body.
In other posts on her IG page, she has has been vocal about loving her natural curves and her body the way it is. She posts unedited pictures even ones where she is wearing a bikini. This is not a good look for GQ Mexico.
