Police were called to the Sturt Highway about 25km west of Darlington Point, near Griffith, at about 1pm last Friday, after a car hit a roo.

Officers on the scene searched the car, where they allegedly found more than 44kg of cannabis leaf in the boot.

A 30-year-old man was arrested and charged with drug supply.

He appeared in court on Saturday, where he was refused bail to appear in court again yesterday.

It wasn’t specified how the kangaroo fared in the collision.
