Julius Randle likely out for Knicks-Heat Game 1 with injury

It appears Julius Randle isn’t quite ready.

Though he was declared a game-time decision Sunday morning by Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau, Randle is expected to be out for Game 1 of the team’s second-round NBA playoff series against the Heat at MSG with a sprained ankle, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Randle, who missed the final five games of the regular season with the same injury, reinjured his ankle in the Knicks’ Game 5 win over the Cavaliers.

Randle had returned to practice in a limited fashion on Friday but Thibodeau said Saturday he hadn’t done much other than shooting.
