Josh Jacobs, Raiders agree to new one-year deal to end contract drama

Josh Jacobs and the Raiders have a new deal in place.

The Raiders and the running back have come to an agreement on a one-year deal worth up to $12 million, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport reported.

Per Rapoport, Jacobs and his agent Chad Wiestling have been in Las Vegas the past few days to get the deal done, which will officially be signed on Sunday.

“I’m back,” Jacobs posted on X, formerly Twitter, after the news came out.

Jacobs, who has been a training camp holdout, had originally been seeking a lucrative long-term deal but could not come to an agreement with the team, which had only offered a one-year, $10.1 million franchise tender.

But now, the two sides have come to an agreement on a reworked deal that brings back last year’s league-leading rusher.
