Some of the top prospects in the Mets organization took a step up on Sunday night as the team called up its top pitching prospect to Triple-A, along with several of their top position prospects, The Athletic’s Will Sammon reported.
Right-hander Jonah Tong is being promoted to Triple-A Syracuse after lighting it up in Double-A, with a 1.58 ERA and 154 strikeouts in 19 starts.

Tong is the No. 2 Mets prospect, according to MLB Pipeline, and took part in the All-Star Futures Game in July.
Mets top prospect Jett Williams, Carson Benge and Ryan Clifford will also head to Triple-A Syracuse. Additionally, the Mets are promoting A.J. Ewing from High-A to Double-A.
