Jon Favreau is ready to bring “The Mandalorian” to life with an all-new immersive attraction.
Although Disney has not confirmed if a “Mandalorian”-themed ride would come to the Parks, the “Star Wars” series creator has some ideas for Walt Disney Imagineering if they ever wanted to bring something to life.
Favreau Wants To See A “Mandalorian”-Themed Ride At Disney

Jon Favreau recently sat down with IMDB where he revealed some ideas he has for a new attraction that could potentially reside in Disneyland Park in California.
“I’d probably do something that’s very immersive. I’d probably do something with haptics worked in. I’d probably use assets that we use in the Volume,” Favreau told IMDB, referencing the technology used in “The Mandalorian.”
The Volume is a “massive, state-of-the-art video wall that can render complex backgrounds quicker than ever,” per reports.
Disneyland Park currently has an entire “Star Wars”-themed section called Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which is home to two attractions — Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run — meaning, a new “Mandalorian” ride would fit right in.
“I think that there should be an educational component, but not educational like a museum reading a plaque,” Favreau continued to say of a potential new ride. “Educational, like, sit in here, feel this and here’s how we did it.”
Jon Favreau is the showrunner/head writer of “The Mandalorian” and serves as an executive producer along with Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. In the past, Favreau has spoken out on the use of CGI and technology in films such as “The Lion King” remake and “The Jungle Book’” live-action film, something he has pushed boundaries with when producing “The Mandalorian”.

“Whether it’s display screens, virtual reality, augmented reality, real-time render, game engine technology, all of these weave back and forth and inform one another. Machine learning is allowing for a lot of technologies to accelerate,” he said in a previous interview with Variety. “We always have to be mindful of not letting the progress get ahead of us and always having a human element that informs the way technology is being utilized. I think storytelling is a really important nexus point.”
Mandalorian Comes To Disney World

Just a few days ago, Disney World surprised Guests with Mandalorian and Grogu — also known as Baby Yoda — as they appeared in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios.
The new meet and greet coincided with the highly anticipated third season of the “Mandalorian” on Disney+, which debuted on March 1.
For “Star Wars” fans who have yet to see the Disney+ Original Series, the streaming platform describes the hit show as:
“The Mandalorian” is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy, far from the authority of the New Republic.
The series stars Pedro Pascal, Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Emily Swallow and Giancarlo Esposito.
“The Mandalorian” is currently streaming on Disney+.
