JoJo Siwa seems to be throwing shade at ex-girlfriend Avery Cyrus in a new video. JoJo’s mom, Jessalyn Siwa, posted a video to her Instagram story of the Nickelodeon star going on a rant, per Page Six. Jessalyn asked her daughter why she was angry, and she responded, “Because I got used, for views and for clout.” Many fans believed JoJo was taking a dig at Cyrus after their breakup. JoJo shared, “I got tricked into being told I was in love and I got f***ing played.” The comment seemed to confirm fans’ suspicions that the Nickelodeon star was talking about Cyrus.
Following the Instagram video, Cyrus posted a TikTok of her and her previous ex-girlfriend confirming they’re going on a trip. The TikTok content creator clarified they’re “just friends”, and they booked the “non-refundable” trip in advance. Still, fans were convinced something else happened between JoJo and Cyrus.

One day after the TikTok video, Cyrus released a statement to E! News about their breakup. Cyrus said, “From my perspective, me and JoJo left on great terms and are still friends. The relationship was very real, and I have nothing but love for JoJo and her family.” The TikTok creator shared she’s still “very hurt” by the Nickelodeon star breaking up with her. She said, “I’m saddened and confused by the situation.” Cyrus isn’t the only one left confused, because fans are still curious as to what might have gone down between the couple.
