The sudden death of a woman who passed away just hours after she arrived at hospital with extensive injuries will be investigated by homicide detectives.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Jodie Fellows, who died in Collie Hospital, about a two-hour drive south of Perth, on Thursday.
At least 10 detectives combed her South West home for clues on Friday in an attempt to piece together what could have caused her significant injuries.
After conducting a walk-through of the quiet neighbourhood, police left the residence with several large brown paper bags of evidence.
Police said that while they would approach the death from ‘all angles’, the Collie community should hold no concerns for any lingering danger.

‘It’s not something that the residents of Collie need to be worried (about),’ Detective Senior Sergeant Stephen Cleal said.
‘We don’t have safety concerns regarding this issue.’
Two women were seen speaking to detectives as they canvassed the area on Friday, with police confirming a man in his 40s was assisting with their inquiries.
It is understood the man was known to Ms Fellows.
Snr Srgt Cleal said no charges had been laid in the early stages of the investigation.

A resident who wished to remain anonymous told The West Australian that he heard loud noises coming from the Ms Fellow’s home on Wednesday night.
The man said that although loud noises were not uncommon in the neighbourhood, he had never heard sounds like it before.
‘(There were) two loud bangs like a gunshot late (Wednesday night),’ he said.
Ms Fellows is understood to have worked at the popular Bunbury Farmers Market.
