Hundreds of passengers on a Jetstar flight from Vietnam to Australia have been left stranded after a last-minute flight cancellation.

The airline said today’s flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Melbourne had been delayed until tonight, after the aircraft reported a technical fault.

Jetstar said passengers had been provided with hotel accommodation, however many have told 9News that was not the case.

Some passengers claim they were turned away from accommodation after the hotel was booked out.

“I was feeling exhausted, and very anxious,” traveller Anh Dao said.

Another passenger described the situation as ridiculous.

“Everyone is pretty angry,” Jasmin Mockdissi said.

A Jetstar spokesperson apologised for the cancellation today.

The incident comes after hundreds of Jetstar passengers were stuck aboard a plane for seven hours at Alice Springs airport. (Nine)

“Unfortunately, one of our flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Melbourne has been delayed due to an issue with an aircraft door, which may require a part to be flown in from Singapore,” the spokesperson said.

“Customers are being provided with hotel accommodation and other reasonable expenses and the flight is expected to depart Ho Chi Minh City tonight.

“We never want to delay a flight but safety is always our number one priority and we apologise for the inconvenience.”

The passengers who were on Flight JQ30 are due to receive their luggage today.

The bags remained at Alice Springs airport until it was picked up by a replacement aircraft.
