Much needed support! Novak Djokovic's glamorous wife Jelena, 36, was elegant in Wimbledon whie as she cheered on her husband

Jelena Djokovic was animated on Centre Court as the third set of a nail-biting final continued between her husband Novak and Carlos Alcaraz.

The wife of the second seed, Serbia’s Novak Djokovic, 36, stood up form her seat and cheered him on amid a long-fought game which ran to more than 10 deuces.

Dressed in Wimbledon white with a tweed jacket and cat-eye reflective sunglasses, Jelena applauded every point won by her husband and cheered for him as he battled out against his 20-year-old opponent.

The mother-of-two also wore a silver chain around her neck with a cross pendant, and opted for small diamond stud earrings.

She cheered on her husband, who is aiming for his eighth Wimbledon singles title, as his serve was broken by Alvaraz.

Entrepreneur Jelena, who has been in a relationship with Novak for 18 years, is known for her philanthropic work, as well as for holding some unusual beliefs.

She is the director of their charity, the Novak Djokovic Foundation, which seeks to help children achieve their full potential by investing in early childhood development, notably in early years education.

She is a powerful advocate for children, and last October, spoke at the International Conference on Child Safety.

Jelena said: ‘If we abuse a little child, we yell at him, condemn, label, beat, don’t understand, don’t support… what kind of response to life challenges and injustices can we expect from an adult man from those he himself learned upon coming into the world?’

This philanthropic work is what she considers to be among the ‘most significant’ things she and her athlete husband have done.

In a Serbian language YouTube interview with Al Jazeer-a, she said: ‘One of the most significant things that Novak and I have dedicated time, energy and money is charity work. And it’s been like that for half of our lives already.’

Jelena has spoken out about her belief in children multiple times, once writing online that she would like to be remembered as ‘a curious soul who loves life and lifelong learning’ – and the greatest teachers are children.

She added: ‘I live by values of gratitude, honesty, respect, kindness, forgiveness, and love and try to practice them through everything I do. One of the hardest lessons I hope to learn and practice every day in my life is how to love myself fully.’

She is also known for some of their more controversial or uncommon opinions, for example, Jelena’s love for spirituality and meditation, which she discusses at length on her blog.

Among her other beliefs, Jelena once shared a debunked video on Instagram in which she claimed 5G caused the coronavirus pandemic.

However, she later said she did not claim the baseless theory ‘to be true or not’.

Jelena has described herself as ‘misunderstood and fully appreciated’, adding she is ‘changing and transforming at such a pace that it is really hard to label me or put me in one definite box. I am everywhere and nowhere.’

One of Jelena’s great beliefs is a philosophy shared by many – the power of meditation.

In another post, she has said: ‘The goal is to understand the calm mind, the happiness and gratitude of your soul and transfer it to all areas of your life and all relationships you have.’

She added there is power in nature when it comes to meditation.

Jelena wrote: ‘I love being alone in nature. Alone completely. But I have to admit, at first when I arrive, I feel a wave of fear come over me because I know that I’m I am an intruder. To some, I might be prey, too.’
