Jaxson Dart will make his Giants debut Saturday.
Head coach Brian Daboll wasn’t giving an inch Thursday on who will play and who will not against the Bills.
Except to say that the rookie first-round pick Dart will play.
Whether he starts or not depends on what the Giants decide to do with Russell Wilson and the rest of the first-teamers.
Daboll said he has done lots of research into teams that start fast and how many preseason reps their starters take.
The results were “inconclusive.”
The Bills plan to play most healthy starters except for quarterback Josh Allen.
But the chance for so-called good-on-good reps won’t sway the Giants, as Daboll said he will do what he judges to be best for his team’s development.
Because Dart might not play in a regular season game until the season is well underway, it is important that Dart gets his feel for the NFL and facing a live pass rush in the preseason.
