Jason Isaacs jokes a penis wasn’t the only prosthetic he wore in ‘The White Lotus’

Jason Isaacs gave “White Lotus” viewers a lot to talk about this season.

The English actor, 61, said “the internet was concerned with two things, my penis and my accent,” during an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” Wednesday.

While Isaacs famously wore a prosthetic for a full-frontal scene, he joked his spot-on Southern accent was also the result of a fake body part.

“This I think I can tell you: I was wearing a prosthetic tongue to do the accent,” he sarcastically said. “Durham, North Carolina, is hard to get your lips around.”

The “Harry Potter” star quipped his “real tongue is small, green, shriveled and shaped like a pretzel.”

Isaacs’ accent, which was based off “Southern Charm” alum Thomas Ravenel, drew a mixed reaction from fans, but he noted that people from Durham have a very particular intonation.

“Durham, North Carolina, doesn’t sound like South Carolina. It doesn’t sound like Charleston. It doesn’t sound like anywhere else,” he explained, adding that a few of their vowel sounds are actually very similar to an English accent.

While he did not actually wear a prosthetic tongue, he did wear a fake penis.
He famously flashed his fictional family — and viewers — during Season 3 of the hit HBO series.

“A lot of people on the internet were going, ‘He doesn’t sound Southern at all’ or ‘He doesn’t sound Texan,’” the Golden Globe nominee said.

“I know I don’t sound f–king Texan because I’m not meant to be from Texas!”

Isaacs explained that he shot the 2000 film “The Patriot” in Durham and spent “quite a lot” of time with people from the region, who have since given him their stamp of approval.

“People from Durham were going, ‘That’s weird. He sounds exactly like my dad,’” he added.

While the “Brotherhood” star did not actually wear a prosthetic to get his dialect down, he did don a fake piece for a nude scene.

After his character, Timothy Ratliff, popped a couple of his wife’s prescription pills in an attempt to manage his stress, he went into the living room to take a load off.

However, as he settled into his chair, his robe split open, flashing his fictional family — and millions of viewers.

Sam Nivola, who played one of Isaacs’ sons in the HBO series, later told TV Insider that viewers did not see the actor’s “real penis.”

His on-screen sister, Sarah Catherine Hook, noted that Isaacs wore a “prosthetic” — and had fun doing it.

Hook said her TV dad was “so excited to do it” and ran around set exclaiming, “It’s my fake d–k scene today!”
