Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts questioned his team’s commitment after a messy loss to Seahawks on Monday.
Hurts, who was questionable before the game due to an illness, explained that his efforts to get his team on the same page didn’t translate on the field in Philadelphia’s 20-17 loss to Seattle in primetime — their third straight defeat.
“I’ve been talking about execution all year,” Hurts, 25, said in his postgame press conference at Lumen Field. “Everyone being on the same page. We didn’t execute.
“I don’t think we’re committed enough. Just got to turn it around. You know, it’s a challenge that we have to embrace. Just continue to see it through.”
When asked what he meant by committed enough, Hurts said: “Commitment. I don’t have a dictionary on me now … I don’t know how else to say that.”
Then, the Jordan Brand athlete was asked: “How are you seeing that present itself?”
Hurts reiterated that his team needs to stick together.
“It’s a matter of being on the same page,” he said. “It takes everyone being all in, in all aspects. And it starts with me.”

Hurts finished 17 of 31 and threw for a season-low 143 yards with zero passing touchdowns, while he rushed for 82 yards and two scores.
Two costly fourth-quarter interceptions by Hurts helped the Seahawks grab the win — which was sealed by Seattle on a pass from quarterback Drew Lock to Jaxon Smith-Njigba to completed a 92-yard drive with 28 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
Smith-Njigba beat Eagles cornerback James Bradberry off the line and caught a perfect pass by Lock, who finished 22 of 33 for 208 yards.
Hurts did not practice Saturday due to his illness.

Eagles receiver A.J. Brown was also seen in a sideline spat with a Seattle staffer Monday.
Brown was bumped by Seahawks staffer Michael Jackson while he was on the visiting sideline and then shoved him, according to ESPN broadcaster Joe Buck, who was on the call.
The scrum, which saw another Seattle staffer push Brown, was quickly broken up by officials.
