Jack Bech, whose brother was killed in New Orleans terror attack, drafted by Raiders

When Tiger Bech died in the New Orleans terror attack in January, his brother Jack sought to live out his NFL dream for both of them.

The dream was made a reality when Jack Bech was selected late in Round 2, No. 59 overall in the 2025 NFL Drat, by the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday night in Green Bay, Wis.

Bech’s brother Tiger was unexpectedly killed during the infamous terrorist truck attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans prior to the Sugar Bowl.

Jack Bech, who attended TCU, has tattoos honoring his brother Tiger, and says the Raiders will also be drafting him in spirit, a former Princeton wide receiver.

“This is one of the best moments ever,” Bech said on the NFL Draft’s ABC broadcast. “I know like I’ve been saying, it’s a two for one dude, not only do they get me, they get Tiger too. It’s a dream come true. Everybody in this room, and the people I love most, people who got me here, I can’t wait to put on for Raider nation.”

Bech, who enjoyed a 1,000-yard season with the Horned Frogs, continued to remember his brother on the broadcast.

“I remember he passed away, he [would tell me] one thing for me to get ready, to keep on going,” Bech recalled. “To keep pushing. He’s brought me to new heights. He’s brought me places I didn’t know I could go, just with dedication and willingness to go out and work.

“You know, whenever you know, late night, early mornings, he’s going to keep bringing me further and further and further. And I dedicate my whole career to him.”

Bech caught 62 passes for 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns at TCU last season.

Before transferring to the school in 2023, Bech played two seasons for LSU.
