Israel has warned its citizens to reconsider travelling to a range of countries including, Australia over fears of antisemitism.

The threat level to the UK, France, Germany, Brazil, Argentina and Russia were all raised to Level 2, by the Israeli National Security Council (NSC) overnight.

The higher level indicates that Israelis should take additional precautions while visiting.

Dozens of countries in Africa and central Asia, including Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan, have also been raised to Level 3.

Countries including New Zealand, Denmark, Switzerland and the United States remain on the lowest threat rank of Level 1.

Australians are advised to reconsider travel to Israel and Gaza due to the “volatile security situation”.
