When Ellen DeGeneres grilled Michael Che over which famous women he finds attractive on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” he first mentioned Beyoncé — but then threw out the names of Hillary Clinton and Roseanne Barr, too. He was obviously joking around to dodge DeGeneres’ questions, and who can blame him? Imagine how awkward it would be if he said he had a crush on a celebrity who later hosted “Saturday Night Live.” When he appeared on “The Howard Stern Show” in 2021, Che explained why he’s not interested in dating anyone famous anyway. “Famous relationships seem miserable to me,” he said.
Che pointed out that celebrity pairs (like his good pal Colin Jost and actor Scarlett Johansson) have to deal with issues that other couples do not, such as ceaseless media attention. He also shared the perfect pickup line for a normie to use if they ever bump into him at a bar. “The sexiest thing a woman can ask me is, ‘So, what do you do?'” he said. “I just want a nice, boring librarian.”

When Che appeared on Stern’s show a year later, he said that his “Saturday Night Live” castmates have tried to set him up with people before, but apparently, their picks for him don’t meet his criteria of being far removed from the entertainment industry. “I don’t think they believe me when I tell them I want nothing to do with show business,” he said.
