An MLS goalie’s trip to the local zoo ended with him in the hospital.
Inter Miami goalkeeper Nick Marsman — who will be a teammate of Lionel Messi later in the year — was bitten by a spider on a family trip to the zoo, which landed him in the hospital for three days, according to a series of Instagram posts by Marman’s wife, Nathalie den Dekker, TMZ reported.
“The downside of living in a tropical climate is if you go to the zoo and get bitten by a poisonous spider… end up being hospitalized for three days,” den Dekker said in one of her posts, according to TMZ.

Den Dekker, a former Miss Netherlands, also posted a picture of the couple’s daughter hugging the goalkeeper while in the hospital with the caption, “Happy to have you back home, now get well soon,” TMZ reported.
