Even though they had cute moments together, it was clear that Natalie Negrotti and James Huling were prone to bickering while they were on “Big Brother.” The two got into a fight the night before Natalie knew she was getting evicted because she didn’t want to sleep in bed with him on her last night. Regardless, the two seemed to make up after the Season 18 finale, and CBS reported that the showmance was still going strong post-“Big Brother.” That’s why it came as a complete shock to “Jatalie” shippers when the couple announced their breakup in late January 2017 just a few months after the “Big Brother” finale in September 2016.
Fans were left to speculate about what went down between the reality stars, but then James took to the live-streaming platform Periscope in April 2017 to spill the tea on his side of the story. In the video, James alleged that he and Natalie actually split long before when they announced, but Natalie wanted to continue to pretend to date for the fans and for brand deals. “I’ve told lies that we were together for a long time, just so [Natalie] wouldn’t get any hate [online],” James admitted. The Texas native even accused Natalie of texting with her ex-boyfriend while they were still together.
