I was devastated when my fiancé left me before our wedding — here’s how I got the ultimate revenge

This bride certainly wasn’t feeling something blue.

A woman shellshocked by her wedding being called off took the circumstances in stride by parading around town in her bridal gown.

Lauren Scott-Berry, a 34-year-old set to wed in North Yorkshire, England last summer, instead galavanted for a very unique photo shoot wearing her $335 dress to take “her power back” from the breakup.

“I did think I might not ever get married but I don’t want to never get to wear a wedding dress,” Scott-Berry told Kennedy News.

The Englishwoman then compared herself to a Dickensian character as she went viral on TikTok parading around a beach, an ice cream truck, a swing set and other locations in the special outfit and a tiara.

“I really felt like I’d lost so much. I’m in my 30s and we were talking about having children after being married. It felt like my whole future had crumbled.”

However, as she was applauded online for keeping her sense of self-worth, Scott-Berry said the circumstances ultimately turned out to be “a gift.”

“When I stepped out I was like ‘Well, it doesn’t matter.’ Everyone was looking at me and smiling. “Some people said ‘congratulations’ and I didn’t even care. I just said ‘thanks’. I felt really good,” she said.

“I’m happier now than I was in my relationship. I’ve grown in confidence a lot over the last year.”

And now, Scott-Berry has “a list” and lots of recommendations on where to wear the gown next to feel even more “special.”

“When I went and picked it up from the store because I’d already paid for it, I tried it on again and just felt special,” she added.

“My ex had obviously never seen the dress and had nothing to do with the choosing of it. It felt quite separate.”
