A proud father has revealed how he let his six-year-old tattoo him as part of a bonding experience.

Arizona-based Wesley Owens had his daughter Adeline tattoo both a heart and smiley face on his leg.

He said that her work was a ‘masterpiece’ and ‘means the world to both of us.’

But the Louisiana native wasn’t the only one in awe of the young artist – with many of his 87,000 TikTok followers left impressed by her art as well as his parenting skills.

The doting father, who works as a tattoo artist himself, filmed the three times that Adeline tattooed him at his parlor.

During Adeline’s first tattoo she got a bit hesitant mid-session before her father encouraged her by saying: ‘You got it, you can do it.’

And it resulted in a thin heart silhouette that he adored.

Wesley let the tattoo heal and brought his daughter back for a touch-up session.

He showed her the healed tattoo and she said: ‘Oh it looks really good.’

The dad was then recorded saying: ‘I think it looks really good too but would you mind doing a touch up for me?’ She agreed and said: ‘Yeah, for sure.’

‘How it heals this time is how it will be forever and I absolutely love it!!!!!,’ he lovingly wrote in the video’s text.

At the end of the clip he said ‘I’ll tip you with some ice cream tonight,’ to which the negotiator responded that she wanted a toy instead – and a toy is what she eventually got, according to the dad’s comment online.

Wesley decided that he would let Adeline tattoo him again, revealing: 'I decided to let Adeline tattoo a smiley face next to the heart she tattooed last time'

Wesley decided that he would let Adeline tattoo him again, revealing: ‘I decided to let Adeline tattoo a smiley face next to the heart she tattooed last time.’

And the youngster displayed even more confidence the third time around.

‘She’s gotten so much more comfortable since last time. She’s not even bothered that it hurts me a little. I think if she sticks with this she may have a future in tattooing.

‘I wonder how many other six-year-old’s are tattooing their dad. I love it when she tattoos me. Each one turns out absolutely perfect,’ the voiceover said.

He called her work a ‘masterpiece’ but Wesley wasn’t the only impressed one – with his followers in awe.

Flocking to the comments, one person wrote: ‘When she has a customer years down the road ask how long she’s been tattooing… “Since I was six.” Well done dad.’

‘If she ever becomes a tattoo artist, you should have her do another heart next to that one,’ another added.

A third chimed in: ‘I love how she looks to you every time for confirmation and you just continue to boost her confidence. Cutest thing ever! I would 100 per cent let her tattoo.’

‘I love that she noticed a spot she wanted to fix all on her own. That’s a kid who’s learning how she wants her art to look. You’re such a great dad,’ wrote another fan.

One person added: ‘Tattoo her name in her writing. Wish I did it when my son my little.’

'The way I¿ve raised her, she¿s not scared of much. Snakes, spiders, heights, and unknown adventures are things she¿s grown up to love,' said the dad to his tattoo client

When one commentator was in awe of his encouragement towards his daughter he responded: ‘I wish all parents encouraged their kids like this. The world would be a better place for sure.’

Someone commented on the ‘strong bond’ that the two share. He replied: ‘We have to. We depend on each other so much. We have the perfect dynamic.’

The father and now eight-year-old daughter continue to explore together and love going hiking, rock-climbing and going to the circus.

‘I mentioned that Adeline climbs to someone I was tattooing the other day, and they were like “so she’s not scared of heights?”

‘I said, honestly, the way I’ve raised her, she’s not scared of much. Snakes, spiders, heights, and unknown adventures are things she’s grown up to love.

‘I say this every time I make a post about her, but I’m seriously so proud of the person she is becoming. I hope she never loses her passion of enjoying life at the fullest capacity,’ the father wrote dotingly on Instagram.
