A UK nurse accused of murdering seven babies and trying to kill 10 others has denied ever trying to harm the infants in her care.
Letby allegedly injected babies with air or fatal doses of insulin.
“Have you ever tried to harm a baby?” her defence barrister Ben Myers KC asked.
“Have you ever used insulin with the intention of harming a baby?” he asked.
“Have you ever physically assaulted a baby?”
The court was shown scrawled notes found in Letby’s home after her arrest, which prosecutors argue show her guilt.

“I killed them on purpose because I’m not good enough,” one note reads.
Letby told the court that she was struggling with her mental health when she wrote the notes after the babies’ deaths.
She said she felt she “somehow had been incompetent and done something wrong, which affected those babies”.
“I felt I must be responsible in some way.”
Letby has denied all 22 charges against her.
