A vehicle has exploded near El Paso airport, injuring five people.
Images captured of the incident, near the Sun Metro bus headquarters in the Texas city, showed thick plumes of black smoke billowing into the air.
According to the El Paso Fire Department, a vehicle exploded at around 1:06pm local time.
The spokesperson said a vehicle exploded possibly inside the operations center and people are currently evacuating. They added that five people had been injured.
Out of those five injured, four had to be taken to hospital, one with serious injuries and three with minor injuries.
Another person has refused to be taken to hospital, despite having sustained injuries in the incident.

The local police department said they had to close down a street in one direction due to the incident.
The Fire Department says it is a ‘defensive fire’ at this point, meaning they are not sending any personnel in. Around 45 emergency units were on the scene fighting the blaze.
Firefighters in ladder trucks could be seen working to extinguish the fire coming from the center.
