A woman has shared a little-known JB Hi-Fi ‘hack’ to ensure customers save money on future purchases. 

A shopper who goes by ‘Little Birdie’ online said ‘everyone needs to know’ about the Two Week Price Guarantee policy. 

If the price of a product drops within two weeks of a customer’s purchase, a refund of the difference in value will be offered to those who ask for one.

In a short video, the woman acted out a scenario between a customer and a JB Hi-Fi employee, explaining how all you need to do is ask for a refund and provide a receipt. 

In the comments of the short clip, JB Hi-Fi employees confirmed the policy applies to all stores and is available for all customers.

‘You need to know this! Have you purchased from JB Hi-Fi in the last two weeks?’ the TikToker asked in the video, which has now exceeded 358,000 views in just three days. 

Multiple current and former staff members from JB Hi-Fi sparked a conversation and shared other tips.  

‘Yep you can do this. Worked at JB for two years. I think you can do it at other stores too,’ one person wrote. 

‘Yep I worked there. It’s true. But it’s gotta be while it’s still on sale,’ another added. 

A third said: ‘As an ex JB Hi-Fi employee, I learned many useful things. Remember: JB Hi-Fi wants you to buy from them. So don’t be afraid to ask for deals.’ 

‘They match price too. Always always look for the item online first,’ a fourth wrote. 

Thousands were amazed by the ‘hack’ and wished they knew of the policy sooner. 

‘Whaaaat!!!’ one person wrote, another said: ‘They do what now?!’

‘I got $500 off a mobile!’ one said, another added: ‘I’ve done this for years, always works.’  

In a follow-up video, the woman said several other major retailers have similar policies in place – such as Bunnings Warehouse, Costco, The Iconic and Supercheap Auto.
