Investigators were led to the Brisbane unit block via electronic tracking. they revealed late yesterday.
They made the grim discovery of the 61-year-old dead in her car.
They allege Sleeman’s son, Slade Murdok, had hired the car space at the apartment in Windsor from an unrelated and innocent woman.
“We believe it was him who had driven the car here,” Brendan Smith from Queensland police said.
“It appears he hasn’t been quite honest with who he was when he hired it.”
Residents in the building were shocked by the discovery.
“It’s confronting. It’s surreal. I didn’t even have any idea,” Erin Clarke told 9News.
“It’s pretty rattling when it’s next door,” neighbour Jacob Prideaux told 9News.
“We were there when the two suited up guys went in there.”
Police believe the car had been parked in the unit complex garage since late on Tuesday.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses or anyone with footage of the blue Honda Jazz to come forward.
The 61-year-old had called triple zero last Tuesday afternoon to report a break in.
By the time officers arrived, there was no sign of Wendy – only signs of a struggle.
Murdok, who was arrested on Wednesday afternoon and appeared in court yesterday has been charged with a number of offences, including kidnapping.
The court heard he was on bail for a violent offence at the time he was charged.
Police will allege he acted alone.
He will remain in custody until his next court appearance in February.
Friends told 9 News the dog breeder she was one of the most caring and sweet people and that her dogs were her life.
“She was a beautiful person, with a heart of gold,” one said.
Sleeman’s grieving friends and family are holding a candlelight vigil on Sunday evening in Elanora, to honour her life.
