Horror moment two tourists are killed in Bali's Monkey Forest by a falling tree

Two visitors have reportedly been killed when a large tree fell on them at a popular tourist destination in Bali.

The horrifying incident happened at the Monkey Forest sanctuary in Ubud at about midday local time on Tuesday.

CCTV showed terrified tourists running for their lives as the large tree came crashing down as the result of strong winds and heavy rains.

Some of those fleeing the scene were young families with strollers. 

The two foreign nationals who died are believed to be from done reportedly from France and South Korea.

The area is quickly evacuated and has since been closed. 

A traditional cleansing ceremony will be held at an appropriate time to honor the incident.
