Horrific moment influencer is impaled on a stool when it collapses as she films herself trying it out

  • WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT

This is the agonising moment a lifestyle influencer impales her backside on a stool after an unboxing performance for her followers.

Indian social media star Namrata Jha was showing off her latest haul from south east Asia’s Amazon-style marketplace Meesho on May 23.

In her footage of the bizarre slip, Namrata tears open the box containing a bar stool and places the round faux suede seat on top of the gold coloured metal frame and legs.

But the frame already looks bent and damaged so when Namrata perches on the seat, the stool collapses underneath her.

As she drops down, the seat falls off and one of the metal legs is apparently driven right into her buttocks.

Grim footage shows how it ripped through her trousers leaving a jagged, bloody hole.

As the clip closes Namrata warns her 175,000 Instagram followers about the chair, telling them to purchase it only at their own risk.

The footage quickly went viral with over 61 million views and terrifying many of her social media followers.

One said: ‘This is scary! Hope you are fine.’

And another said: ‘Be careful.’

Namrata was lucky to only get a small injury. Lately, headlines have been plagued by the chilling stories of influencers who met gruesome ends.

Earlier this month, Mexican beauty influencer Valeria Marquez was gunned down while livestreaming to her followers.

And last year, Ecuadorian influencer Landy Párraga was assassinated after her Instagram post of a plate of octopus ceviche led gunmen to the restaurant where she was dining.

Meanwhile, back in 2023 Mexican content creator ‘Keilanny Boo’ was shot dead in what’s believed to be a cartel-related hit.

Tragically, although once renowned for their engaging online presence, these young women are now remembered as victims caught in the crosshairs of a world where fame and beauty fatally collide.
