A heroic neighbour braved scorching flames to rescue a family after a caravan caught alight in Queensland.
A husband and wife and their two kids were trapped inside, screaming for help when the caravan burst into flames overnight.
One neighbour rushed to their aid and pulled them out.
“He is a hero. He went in there, full of smoke. He put his whole life in danger,” a witness told 9News.
Exclusive vision showed just how daunting the flames were, completely engulfing the caravan and quickly spreading to a nearby vehicle.
The father and another man were taken to hospital with serious burns to their face while the mother and two children were treated for smoke inhalation.
Investigators believe the fire was an accident, sparked by a lit candle.
The family have lost both their vehicles in the fire as the community rallies around them.
“It’s a hard road for them but we’ll all be there for them,” a neighbour said.
