Here’s what to look at for as season of change looms for Nets in second half

The Nets are coming out of the All-Star break, which marked the proverbial — if not literal — midway point of the season. And though nearly two-thirds of the actual schedule already is in the books, there is plenty to keep an eye on the rest of the way.

Here are some things to watch, in chronological order:

Converting

Will Brooklyn convert two-way wing Tyrese Martin? The wing has reached his limit of 50 games active with Brooklyn, meaning if the Nets have any plans to use him at all in the second half, they’re going to have to convert him to a standard deal.

And the Nets have grown accustomed to using Martin, with Martin seventh on the team in appearances and ninth in minutes. With an open roster spot after buying out Ben Simmons, they could convert Martin.
