She disclosed the core values that she instilled in her daughters through ‘leading by example’.
‘If you don’t want to be polite, don’t go out on the public stage because no one wants to see a grumpy princess,’ she said. Sarah added: ‘I think the most important thing is you’ve got to get your game on.’
In addition to etiquette, the Duchess added that a strong work ethic was another core value she wanted to pass on to her children.
She said: ‘Beatrice always says, “Mum, thank goodness at five o’clock on Sundays you put on your camel coat and went to work. Because now I go to work, I work very hard, and I put on my camel coat, and I think of the leadership you showed me”.’

But now a key focus in her life is to ‘literally focus on joy’, and she is additionally thrilled that Beatrice has been able to find the joy in her own family unit.
She said: ‘I’m delighted that my children, who work so hard, are able to have their pods of family, and now they are living the dream.’
‘I believe that my children have got beautiful, lovely happiness in them and I love that.’
In a previous episode, the Duchess told another key message that she shared her daughters: ‘When they were growing up, I said, “Take responsibilities for your actions, there are ramifications for your actions every time you go out the front door”.’

In the podcast’s first debut episode, the Duchess also revealed her ‘rule book’ to follow at all times, which included ‘loyalty, kindness, integrity, goodness, courage, manners, and all these lovely things’.
It comes amid suggestions that Beatrice could be the key to healing the rift between the royal family and Prince Harry.
In conversation with the OK! Magazine, brand and culture expert Nick Ede believes that Beatrice’s character might be the perfect remedy to the troubles.
Ede has said that Beatrice has previously been able to manage familial issues well, including the consequences of having a controversial father.
He said: ‘She also has the ability to see both sides of the coin, so with regards to Harry’s falling out with William and King Charles, she can be more openminded and encourage both sides to discuss, talk about and potentially heal that rift.
‘I think if anyone can heal it it’ll be her or perhaps Princess Anne. Beatrice could well be the royals’ secret weapon.’
