A prisoner has escaped from a hospital in Queensland despite being handcuffed and wearing a leg iron.
Barry Kenneth Bloomfield escaped custody earlier this morning from Rockhampton Hospital.
Anybody who sees him is urged to call Triple Zero immediately, but not to approach him.
Bloomfield is currently serving a two-and-a-half-year sentence for assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Bloomfield is described as 176cm tall and 86kg, with a medium build.

He has clown tattoos on his chest and right hand, as well as other tattoos on his forearms and hands.
Bloomfield is the second patient to disappear from Rockhampton Hospital in the past month.
Eighty-year-old in-patient Peter Roach walked out of the hospital late last month and has not been seen since.
Roach has a medical condition that can cause confusion, and has been described as non-verbal.
