Gwyneth Paltrow makes rare comment about Brad Pitt relationship, compares romance to dating Prince William

It’s all Goop between Gwyneth Paltrow and ex-fiancé Brad Pitt.

In a Variety cover story published Tuesday, the Goop founder shared that she and the actor remain friendly nearly three decades after they called off their engagement.

“He’s a very intriguing character,” Paltrow, 52, explained, with the outlet pointing out that she seemed “unbothered” by the association” with Pitt, 61.

“It’s like having dated, I don’t know, Prince William or something. That’s always going to come up,” she acknowledged, making sure to note that her comments don’t come from a place of “what if.”

“I really embrace the roads that I take. I almost never go back and noodle about choices,” said the movie star, who’s been married to TV writer Brad Falchuk since September 2018.

Paltrow met Pitt on the set of the 1994 movie “Se7en.” They got engaged in 1996 but broke up the following year.

Later in the interview, Paltrow was discussing a grueling film shoot in the English countryside when she name-dropped the fellow Oscar winner again.

“My boyfriend at the time, Brad Pitt, was over for my birthday,” she inserted before continuing on with her story.

The actress — who went on to date actor Ben Affleck from 1997 to 2000 — was asked during a May 2023 appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast to rank her two most famous exes’ skills in bed.

“That is really hard,” she admitted. “Because Brad was, like, the sort of major chemistry, love-of-your-life kind [of hookup]. And then Ben was, like, technically excellent.”

When pressed to play “F–k, Marry, Kill” with the choices of Pitt, Affleck and her first husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, Paltrow confessed that she would have sex with Pitt again.

She revealed she would “remarry” Martin, 48, and kill Affleck, 52, as she let out a playful, “God bless him.”
