Groom slammed online after wearing denim shorts, a cowboy hat and boots to his wedding

Hundreds online have been let gobsmacked over a groom’s bizarre wedding attire.

The top half of an image shared to a popular Facebook group appears fairly normal with a bride in a formal white gown holding hands with her new husband wearing a black hat, smart suit jacket and white shirt.

However, the bottom half of the photo reveals the groom has paired his blazer with denim cut-off shorts and brown cowboy boots.

Users in the comments were astounded by the man’s ‘awful’ fashion choice and shared their shock at the controversially casual jean shorts.

‘Sir, judging by the uneven raggedy edges, you took cut-offs literally. That is not a vibe or aesthetic to strive for at any time, let alone your wedding,’ one woman said.

‘Is he serious?’ a second asked.  

‘So I thought it was jeans at first and was like, okay bad but not the worst. THEN I SAW F***ING KNEE CAPS,’ exclaimed a third. 

Others said they didn’t realise anything was wrong with the photo until they scrolled down and saw the groom’s bare legs.  

‘I DIDN’T SCROLL ALL THE WAY. I was wondering what’s wrong until I scrolled. Oh my god. It’s awful,’ one commenter wrote. 

‘Scrolling, huh, well, I mean the hat is at least black and looks nice. Oh, his jacket and shirt are nice! This seems fi-, oh,’ joked another. 

‘Scrolling from the top of this photo to the bottom made me feel like I was in a car accident,’ laughed a third.
