A Gold Coast woman is considering giving up work for good after scooping up a life-altering $21.1 million lottery win.

The middle-aged woman from Nerang, woke up to discover she’d taken out yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.

She initially thought it was a joke until receiving a phone call from The Lott confirming she was now a multi-millionaire.

“I’ve always thought, ‘maybe one day it would be my turn’ but nothing prepares you for this,” she said.

“This is completely life-changing.

“It’s so hard to believe that I’ve won the Jackpot Prize and will have $21 million in my back pocket.”

These were Australia’s lottery winning hotspots for 2023

Overwhelmed by the news, she says she’s now looking to purchase her first home.

She’s also toying with the idea of never working again.

“I don’t even know where to start. There’s so much I could do!” she said.

“I’m meant to be leaving my job in a couple of weeks but now that I think about it, I could just leave tomorrow. I could honestly stop working for good.”

Lucky Lotteries are raffle-style games, meaning there is a set number of tickets in each draw.

Each game has two draws and because every ticket number is unique, prize money doesn’t need to be shared.
