A 16-year-old girl died Tuesday when a Honda Pilot clipped the back of the scooter she was riding on in the Bronx — in an accident that also grievously wounded the scooter’s teenage driver.
Cops found the two scooter-borne teens unconscious and unresponsive with severe trauma to their heads and bodies when they got to the crash site at West 192nd Street and University Avenue around noon, according to the NYPD.
The young girl could not be saved, cops said.

The 19-year-old man who was driving the scooter was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was in critical condition.
It’s not clear how the two teens knew each other.
The 22-year-old man who was driving the Honda stayed at the scene.
He was not facing charges as of Tuesday afternoon.
