A 13-year-old girl is accused of fatally stabbed her seven-year-old sister while babysitting her after they got into an argument over 'a simple note about flushing the toilet' at their Taylor, Michigan home (pictured) on Saturday afternoon

A 13-year-old girl has been accused of stabbed her seven-year-old sister to death while babysitting her after they got into an argument over ‘a simple note about flushing the toilet.’

The unidentified teen is alleged to have frantically called her father before dialing 911 after stabbing her little sister more than 10 times just after 1pm on Saturday in Taylor, Michigan.

The suspect, who was watching her sibling while their parents were out of the house, allegedly waited in the bathroom for the little girl after their heated argument, and stabbed her multiple times with a butcher and hunting knife, police said.

When authorities arrived at the home they found the unnamed girl with ‘over 10 stab wounds ranging from the abdomen, to the head, to the neck,’ Taylor Detective Cpl. Zachary Digiacomo said.

The younger sibling was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Shocked neighbors quickly gathered to mourn the ‘sweet’ seven-year-old who used to ride her bike up and down the street daily.

‘It was just a very tragic day, a very tragic day for us,’ Julie Pagoto told WXYZ.

‘She used to walk up and down the street every day, riding her bike … stopping and talking to neighbors. She was the sweetest little girl.’

Pagoto said she talked to the young girl the night before the fateful incident. ‘And now she’s gone,’ she said.

The girls’ parents left them home alone around 11.15am before an argument broke out between the sisters.

‘It stemmed from a note that was placed in the bathroom and the note was about flushing the toilet,’ Digacamo said.

Digacamo revealed that the teen ‘was very calm and just showed no emotion’ when authorities arrived.

Although prosecutors were inclined to charge the teenager as an adult for the crime, Kym Worthy said she will instead be held in the juvenile system.

‘Given her young age, the state would have seven years to diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate her until her mandatory release at age 21.

‘Hopefully, then she would not be a danger to others. While this is a difficult decision, given these facts, it is the right thing to do in this case,’ Worthy said.

The 13-year-old has been charged with first-degree murder, felony murder and first-degree child abuse for killing her sister.

According to police, the girls’ parents were left shocked and said the teenager has never been a problem at school or home.

Although she never caused problems in the past, a young neighbor told Fox 2 that she was ‘one of the stranger ones.’

‘She’s very quiet and all that, she’s like one of the stranger ones, kind of,’ a boy told the outlet.

‘But, I’ve never seen her like this – I never thought she would do anything like this,’ he added.

Another kid, Matthew, was also left ‘horrified’ after hearing about the attack.

‘When my grandma told me I was horrified because there were best friends even though they were sisters,’ Matthew told the outlet.

‘They would always play together, they had My Little Pony toys and they would play with each other.’

Digacomo stressed that even though it’s normal for siblings to fight, this case was extreme.

‘They only shed light on just normal sibling arguments. Growing up as kids, you argue with your siblings all the time, but it doesn’t lead to this,’ he noted.
