Girl, 10, is found dead with her throat slashed: Horrified parent makes awful discovery at home on Gold Coast

A 10-year-old girl has been found dead at home with her throat slashed.

One of the girl’s parents made the awful discovery at a home at Emerald Lakes at Carrara, on the Gold Coast, just after 6pm on Tuesday.

Police and paramedics were called to the property but the girl could not be saved.

A crime scene has been declared. 

Several ambulances were seen outside the home on Tuesday evening, with police blocking off the street,

Forensics officers were seen entering the home, the Courier Mail reported.

A neighbour said: ‘It’s normally very quiet around here.’

‘I can’t believe it.’
