Gigi Hadid and a friend were arrested for marijuana possession while vacationing on the Cayman Islands, according to a new report.
The supermodel had been traveling with pal Leah Nicole McCarthy when customs officers scanned their luggage upon arrival at the airport on July 10, local outlet Cayman Marl Road reported.

Both women were transported to the Prisoner Detention Center for processing and eventually released on bail.

“Gigi was traveling with marijuana purchased legally in NYC with a medical license,” Hadid’s rep told E! News in a statement Tuesday.
“It has also been legal for medical use in Grand Cayman since 2017. Her record remains clear and she enjoyed the rest of her time on the island.”

The “Next in Fashion” host didn’t appear to let the brief time behind bars affect her, as she posted several photos to Instagram from her tropical vacation.
In one series of photos, Hadid showed off an enormous hip tattoo of a dragon that she snapped while wearing a teeny bikini.
“mornin! 🐉,” she captioned the playful pics.
McCarthy, 29, also appeared unfazed by her illicit activities, as she, too, shared risqué photos of the group sunbathing on the island.
“Leafy love 🍃🍃,” she captioned the pictures.
