Astrid Proll, one of the most wanted members of the notorious Baader-Meinhof gang, was arrested in London on September 16, 1978.

Proll, 31, a German citizen, was working in a West London garage under a false name when police arrested her.

The garage manager told British media at the time when the first uniformed police arrived he thought they had come to question him about a motoring offence.
