Two young boys face a heartbreaking Christmas without their mother who has died tragically just six weeks after receiving a shocking stage four cancer diagnosis.

Ella Troup’s sudden death has thrown her young family into turmoil, devastating husband Ben and two young sons, Ollie, 1, and Leo, 3.

But friends and family – and bosses at furniture and homewares firm GlobeWest in Frankston, Melbourne where Ms Troup was a product manager – have rallied round.

Friend Jordan MacLeod and sister-in-law Krystal Cameron have set up a GoFundMe to help raise money for the grieving family which has already raised over $120,000.

‘Very few people knew that Ella had been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer just six weeks ago,’ Ms MacLeod wrote on the fundraising page.

‘She had a hard fight to find the primary source when she unexpectedly lost the battle during a procedure.’

Mrs Troup’s employer GlobeWest donated $30,000 to the crowdfunding page and said, ‘Ella’s GlobeWest family are devastated & we are sending our love to Ben, Ollie & Leo.’

More than 1000 people have donated to the appeal with many sharing touching memories and fond words for the mother of two. 

‘My heart breaks for you and your boys and extended family. Wishing you strength in this difficult time’ one wrote.

‘Ben, sending you all our love to you and your gorgeous boys. We are completely heartbroken for you,’ another said.

Ms Troup’s partner Ben joined the tributes to his wife with a moving video in her memory.

The family’s local coffee shop, Down The Street, also paid their respects on Facebook to their beloved regular.

‘Last week we received the devastating news that our beautiful customer Ella passed away,’ the post read.

‘Ella, Ben and their little boys have been apart of our community for years, and we are heartbroken for her family and friends.’

Another friend of the family shared a touching tribute to Facebook.

‘This beautiful family was torn apart by cancer a few days ago, when our beautiful friend Ella lost her battle,’ she wrote.

‘She has left these two little boys without a mum and a loving husband without a wife. Heartbroken doesn’t quite describe the pain’.
