Francisco Lindor’s wordless reaction to Juan Soto’s $765 million Mets signing

Francisco Lindor let the emojis do the talking.

In the wake of Juan Soto’s bombshell free agency decision to sign with the Mets on a monster $765 million contract Sunday night, spurning the Yankees after one season in the Bronx, Lindor took to his Instagram Stories to react to the wild news.

Re-sharing a post from MLB’s Instagram account that featured Lindor and Soto during a Subway Series outing last season, the Mets’ star shortstop reacted to the snap with a trio of eyeball emojis.

The original MLB post was captioned: “Get ready, Mets fans 👀 A new duo in Queens.”

Soto ended widespread speculation about his next move Sunday by agreeing to a record 15-year contract with the Mets.

The contract, which surpassed the $700 million megadeal Dodgers two-way star Shohei Ohtani received in Dec. 2023, will pay Soto $305 million in the first five years.

Soto, who was traded to the Yankees by the Padres this time last year, was also in the mix for a Bronx return as the Bombers offered him a $760 million deal over 16 years.

The 26-year-old Soto reached the World Series with the Yankees earlier this fall — the Bombers’ first appearance in 15 years — but fell to the Dodgers in five games.

The Dodgers advanced to the Fall Classic after besting the Mets in six games in the NLCS.

Soto commemorated his Mets union Sunday night with brother Elian Soto, who posted a video of the four-time MLB All-Star celebrating in a hot tub.

Before landing the biggest fish of free agency in Soto, the Mets lured pitcher Clay Holmes from the Yankees on a three-year deal worth $38 million.

There is still the matter of Pete Alonso and whether the Mets will retain the slugging first baseman on a long-term deal.

Alonso, who has only played for the Mets, has expressed interest in a return. He is also repped by Soto’s agent, Scott Boras.
