A four-year-old girl who went missing in Brisbane was found dead within hours in a neighbour’s pool. 

The young girl was reported missing from a home on Deakin Place in Forest Lake shortly before 9.40am yesterday.

Police conducted extensive searches of the surrounding area and, by about 12.20pm, found her body in a pool at a neighbouring property.

What led to the girl’s death is under investigation.

A report is being prepared for the coroner.
