Four people have been injured, three critically, after a collision in Queensland’s Western Downs Region.

All four injured people were travelling in the same car when it collided with another vehicle on Dalby Jandowae Road at Jimbour East in the Western Downs Region about 11am.

Police said emergency services arrived to find three people with critical injuries.

The fourth person is being treated at the scene.

It is understood no one in the other vehicle was injured.

Dalby Jandowae Road is closed between MacAlister Bell Road and Inglenton Frees Road/Pirrinuan Malakoff Road, but diversions are in place.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

Queensland Ambulance has advised road closures are expected to be in place for hours.
